Our amazing volunteers were awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2021, for their exceptional support to the Ancient Technology Centre. Do take a look at our video. We welcome new volunteers to the centre. Come and try us out for a day!
Our second Royal award is the Princess Royal Training award 2023! Awarded by City and Guilds for our outstanding contribution towards training and supporting our volunteers. You are never too old, or young, to learn new skills and the ATC welcomes new volunteers willing to get their hands dirty. You will be amazed at what you will learn on site!
We are an outdoor education centre operated by Dorset Council providing historical experiences, linked to the national curriculum. This includes day and residential school visits, Duke of Edinburgh residential weeks, colleges and university field studies, volunteering opportunities and work experience.
We are open to the public three times a year. March, July and September. Please follow us on Facebook or see our Public Events page.
Our unique site is also available for private hire. Please contact us for more information. Due to schools visiting during the week our site is generally only available at weekends and during school holidays.
